Big bears glasses

Big bear has glasses.

When the big bear was just a little boy, he was at school, and he got in trouble for being cheeky at school, but the big bear's daddy had an idea that the reason that the big bear was cheeky was because he couldn't see the things at the front of the class. And big's daddy was right! Big's had thought that when everyone saw the world that they saw it as all blurry, but when he got the glasses he realised that things in the world had sharp edges, what fuzzyness.

And bigs wore glasses for years and years and years until he met the little bear. And the little bear thought that it might be a good idea to try big bear wearing contact lenses. So the big one got some contact lenses. And with them, he discovered that he could wear them when he was going to the gym and doing all sorts of things that he wouldn't be able to see things properly with before.

It was funny to have contact lenses to begin with, because even though the big liked not having glasses, he liked being able to hide behind them in a way. And lots of people didn't recognise him without his old glasses at all, which was funny, and made big bear wonder how much people really look at other people most of the time.

After a while though, the big bear got used to the contact lenses. And then after he was used to not wearing glasses he got to feeling just as confident with them in as with glasses. 

And it's much easier to snuggle without glasses on!

big bear and little bear have cigars

On special occasions, like birthdays and things like that, the big bear and little bear have cigars and smoke them outside, great big cigars that come in tubes and are against the law in places where lots of people live.

The cigars make nice smells and they are a bit suggestive and they make the bigs and littles feel a bit like they are old school gangsters and they make the big bear and little bear like grown ups and everything with great big enormous clouds of smoke.

The big bear particularly likes the smells that they make, little bear particularly likes the nicotine hit (and the big bear likes that too if he is honest). It makes big bears head go all whooo-ey.

But both the big bear and the little bear the decadance is what makes them fun as well! Spending lots of money on something that comes around the world had has to be stored in special boxes before being burnt into ashes.

Most of all when they have cigars big and little get to go outside and talk to each other and be with each other, which is the nicest bit.

little bear has taught the big one to swim

Big bear was afraid of swimming, because he had glasses, and was worried that he would mess things up because he couldn't see.

When he was growing up, he was in a swimming pool and couldn't see, other than when he was close up to people. And there was someone in the pool with the same coloured hair as his mummy, and wearing the same colour of swimming costume as his mummy, and he walked right up close to her looking at her swimming costume but it wasn't his mummy, so he was ashamed and upset.

And then there was one time when the big bear was a little boy and he was with his school going swimming. And the big bear was getting changed in the changing rooms with the other boys. Well, the big bear was the first in his class to start turning into a man. And he was the only boy in his class to have a little thing happen that happens to American boys a lot but not to European boys.

Well, the boys in the changing room looked at the big bear, and pointed at the parts that are normally underneath his pants, and they laughed a lot. The big bear put on a brave face, but really, underneath it all he was upset. And he was upset for quite a while.

So for lots of really quite emotional reasons, not so much because he isn't a very co-ordinated thimg, the big bear was not good at swimming.

And the big bear told the little bear about it, and the little bear understood and was nice to the big bear. But the little bear also knew that swimming is very good for bears, and helps them to lose some of their extra tummy-ness.

So the little bear took the big bear swimming, and gave him lots of help. And the first time the big bear mumped and moaned lots. But the little bear was very encouraging, and didn't give up. And after a few times, the big bear was a bit better at swimming and a bit less grumpy. And then after a few more times the big bear was able to go swimming by himself and that was lovely.

Some times the little bear helps the big bear be better at being a bear. Maybe there is a story about how big bear makes the little bear a better bear too, but that is for another day.
